What happened to Monday? I woke up and looked at the calendar today and found that it's Tuesday already!
Monday, Monday, oh yeah.... that was the day I was late to work, it poured down rain from the moment I got to work, and I was late going to lunch, and it was late when I got home from work.
Ahh... some pretty flowers... that helps to restore my peace. This is a picture of blossoms from one of our choke cherry trees. Purty, huh?
Well, today has been a day of fighting computer hardware. So all I can say is I hope the computers are working better at work.
I know one thing, swing-shift is not a good shift for newlyweds, unless both people are working swing... (sad face) I won't get to see much of my beloved husband this week. Just a little before he has to go to sleep at night and a littler bit before he goes to work in the morning.
Ok, more purty flowers to enhance my calm... This is a white dogwood blossom, for those who don't know what dogwood blossoms look like. Ahhhhh, so purty.
I did do something that I always wanted to do and will be doing, this week-end. (Now, if you understand that sentence, you need more flower pictures! You're in worse shape than I am :))
My sweetheart and I bought some chicks and pheasants to raise. Yes, they will be for eating. We are going to get some more chicks because I want to keep the best egg-layers around for eggs, but the rest will be for... well... you know... the stew pot.
Here is a couple of pictures of them. The chicks are sex-link chickens. And the pheasants are well, pheasants. They both are real cute right now. I am trying to handle the chicks often so they get use to me. I don't want them to bite me when I go to get the eggs, when they're bigger, of course.
They are living in our living-room right for now; until they get a little bigger and have some feathers. We are making a safe place for them outside, so they can be out there and the coyotes won't get them. So we get to hear them chirping and scratching all day and night long. Actually, if I am in the bedroom, I can't hear them.
I never realized how funny they are, until we got them. The chicks will sit in the food dish and scratch the food out of the dish and peck at the dish. They will scratch at the food on the ground and then peck in an empty place. And there is definitely a pecking order taking place among them. It is too funny to watch. Oh, and for those who have never had chickens or chicks in their house... they are messy! I have chicken feed all over the floor by their cage! Silly birds.
The pheasants are pretty funny too. There is one that is so bossy and mean. It will chase the others away from the food and water until it has had enough. Or it will peck at which ever one is in the warmest spot so it can be there. (Have to call them its until their feathers come in and they get bigger because we could have a couple of boys here.)
Subject change.... If you haven't done so, go over to my book review site. I posted a new review over there. It's about a book titled, "Will the World End in 2012." You might find it interesting.
Some of you may have heard that my husband rolled his quad last week. I just want to reassure you that he and the quad are ok. The quad suffered minor damage. But most importantly, my husband was just bruised a little. It was scary because it happened at night and I couldn't see what was going on, other than his quad was rolling until it landed in the creek. But, he was okay and we got the quad out without any further mishap.
Well, it's time to get ready to go to work. I thought I would leave you with a bit of a devotional today. On of my favorite devotionals is Our Daily Bread. This is part of one of them...
""My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth." (I John 3:18). What we say is significant to a watching world only if it's consistent with what we do. As we tell people about Christ's love, those words will communicate powerfully if surrounded by acts of love and kindness. Actions do speak louder!" - Bill Crowder
As you go about your business today and the rest of the week, let the love of Christ shine forth, love one another so the world will know we are Christ's. Even if we must rebuke a brother or sister, do so in the love of Christ and with all humility. There is so much going on right now, that it's easy to get worked up and indignant. Let us remember to lead by example. Our actions, especially now, will say the most to a lost and dying world.
I will leave you with one last picture and pray blessings over you. The Lord keep you safe until we meet again.

Monday Notes
Happy Monday Everyone!
I have finally got the review finished on the book "Sleep, It Does A Family Good" by Dr. Archibald D. Hart. Go over to my book review site and read the review. I think you'll like it.
The week-end has been good, exciting and thankfully is now over. I will have an article to post on my article page for you to read, this week.
I have been thinking on a writing challenge that FaithWriters has presented. It has to be submitted by this Wednesday. It's a toughie.... The topic is THE READER. It has been having me say, "hmmmmmm" since it was presented.
I have just started reading another book for review. Hopefully I will get it read and the review written by the end of this week. There is just so much to do at this time of the year on the property and now that I am working part-time, it really cuts my reading time. I know, boohoo, huh? :)
I have to close for now. But, be sure to read the review on "Sleep, It Does A Family Good," and look for a new post on My Articles page. I am also thinking about another Snippet story. Perhaps if I got some sleep I would have more energy, creativity and all of that other good stuff!
Until later.... May the Good Lord bless you this week and keep you sheltered in His arms.

Monday Morning Blah's
I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes I wake up with the Monday Morning Blah's. And today is just one of those Monday's.
I know I should be writing something inspirational, or exciting or even working on the book... but I just can't seem to get into it this morning. Instead, I am visiting other people's sites and doing nothing.
Well, not exactly nothing.... I did learn a couple of new things to help me with my writing process and I read some great interviews and entered a couple of book drawing contests. So... it hasn't been a complete wasted morning.
Oh yay! I even built a fire in the wood stove all by myself this morning! I didn't need my husband to start it, though he probably would have done a better job. What can I say? I am a city girl learning how to live in the country. Hmmm.... there's an idea!
Gotta go... got some ideas rolling around now! Hope your Monday is good to you today! God bless you all!
